Yoenis Tellez has had the highs and lows of boxing in 2025. He won the WBA Interim Super Welterweight title on March 1st of 2025, defeating fmr. unified champion Julian ‘J-Rock’ Williams (29-5) by unanimous decision, however, Tellez lost by unanimous decision at MVP’s Fight Night Saturday August 23rd, to Abass Baraou (17-1), and now is back on the grind to return to the top of the Super Welterweight division.
